From sutures to respiratory therapy, students learned about what happens behind the scenes in the Emergency Department at UNC Hospitals.

Promise Idol Auditions
Auditions for the 2010 Promise Idol singing competition will be held 7 to 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 4 on the Children’s Hospital lobby stage. All UNC Health Care and School of Medicine employees, volunteers and residents can audition.
Crane in place on Medical Drive Oct. 15 - 17
On Friday, Oct. 15, at 5 p.m., a portion of the end of North Medical Drive will be barricaded off for the arrival of a construction crane for the placement of structural steel on to the roof of the Patient Support Tower. This necessary work is being accomplished as part of UNC Hospitals’ 5 East Renovation project.
Blood Drive Nov. 9
The Blood Mobile will be parked on North Medical Drive behind the hospital on Nov. 9 between noon - 4:30 p. m. The blood drive will be sponsored by NC Society Radiologic Technologists, UNC Health Care and Outback Steakhouse.
