Each year this singing competition offers UNC Health Care and School of Medicine employees, volunteers and residents a chance to take to the stage and share their talents. For the first time this year, the competition’s semi-finals will be held during the NC Children’s Promise Radiothon/Telethon. Here is the competition's timetable:

Auditions:

• 7 - 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 4
  N.C. Children’s Hospital lobby stage
   

Semi-finals and finals:

• Thursday, Nov. 18
  N.C. Children’s Promise Radiothon/Telethon
  Children’s Hospital lobby
   

A $10 donation to the N.C. Children’s Promise per act is required to audition. Cash or check only will be accepted.

Participants will be given approximately five minutes to audition. Up to three microphones and a sound system will be provided.

The grand prize will be a $100 gift card to the Streets at Southpoint in Durham and the title of Promise Idol. Please carefully read the attached set of rules for this year’s competition. Questions, call Keela Lyon, NC Children’s Promise at 843-2915.
