- Curtis Media Group has announced the addition of a second charity concert, “96rock Cares for Kids Concert,” to the N.C. Children’s Promise Radiothon/Telethon on Thursday, Nov. 18. This charity rock concert at Lincoln Theatre in Raleigh will feature live performances by The Connells, Taddy Porter and the Garland Mason Band.
- Two UNC School of Medicine faculty members appointed to HIV/AIDS advisory positions
- Myron Cohen, MD, and Ron Swanstrom, PhD , were recently appointed to prestigious HIV/AIDS advisory council positions. Cohen will sit on the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases’ (NIAID) AIDS Research Advisory Committee and Swanstrom will take a position on the Office of AIDS Research Advisory Council (OARAC) under the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
