96rock Cares for Kids Concert

Curtis Media Group has announced the addition of a second charity concert, “96rock Cares for Kids Concert,” to the N.C. Children’s Promise Radiothon/Telethon on Thursday, Nov. 18. This charity rock concert at Lincoln Theatre in Raleigh will feature live performances by The Connells, Taddy Porter and the Garland Mason Band.

Like WQDR’s Country for Kids, this concert will be the celebratory culmination of a day full of miraculous stories being broadcast live from the N.C. Children’s Hospital lobby on Nov. 18. Tickets are just $15 in advance at www.lincolntheatre.com ($18 at the door) and go on sale this Friday, Oct. 8, with proceeds benefiting N.C. Children’s Hospital. All ages welcome!

And a reminder for country music fans, tickets for WQDR’s Country for Kids concert are still available at www.dpacnc.com. The lineup has changed with James Otto taking the place of Uncle Kracker, who regretfully had an unexpected conflict. As a bonus, though, your Country for Kids ticket now includes admission to a later show featuring Uncle Kracker at the Longbranch on Tuesday, Nov. 23.
