Students at the UNC School of Dentistry are coming together to organize the third annual Cleft Palate Gallop this month to raise money for kids with craniofacial anomalies. The organization is called Miles For Smiles. The Cleft Palate Gallop is a 5K race on the UNC campus.
Children born with clefts have complex medical and social needs, requiring care throughout their growing years. Your contribution will help ensure access to comprehensive, specialized treatment for children with cleft lip and palate. The UNC Craniofacial Center receives your donations and subsequently allocates all of these funds to needy families on a case-by-case basis. Last year the group raised almost $4000 from the race and from individual donations. Click here for more details and to register.
