NC TraCS is facilitating investigator research interest groups. These interest groups serve as a forum to bring investigators together, throughout UNC and beyond, to identify and address challenges in translational research.

UNC Hospitals' Beacon Child and Family Program is celebrating its 4th annual Carolina Men Care campaign which advocates for healthy non-violent relationships. The event is on Oct. 13 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. in the Children’s Hospital lobby.

Community partners pledge to 'Turn the Town Pink' in October
Community partners have turned out in force to help UNC Lineberger "Turn the Town Pink" to benefit UNC’s Comprehensive Cancer Support Program (CCSP). More than 40 community partners have committed to turning the town pink – through store displays, special events and promotions.
Triangle Bladder Cancer Support Group Formed
A conference on understanding bladder cancer, hosted by UNC with the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network (BCAN), has led to the formation of a new support group for patients in the Triangle.
Mini-Medical School at UNC Science Expo
On Saturday, Sept. 25, from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. on the UNC campus, the University will celebrate its first Science Expo. Presented by the Morehead Planetarium and Science Center, and with the support of ten major sponsors, including UNC Health Care, the event includes lectures, demonstrations and hands-on experiences for school aged children and adults.
Five-year Administrative Review of UNC Bowles Center for Alcohol Studies Director
An ad hoc committee will undertake a routine administrative review of the leadership provided by Fulton Crews, Ph.D., as Director of the UNC Bowles Center for Alcohol Studies. This is a five-year review that is a standard procedure of the School of Medicine for chairs and center directors.
