N.E.D. Comes to the Triangle

N.E.D. (No Evidence of Disease) is a band comprised of six Gynecologic Oncologists, including UNC's own John Soper and John Boggess. The band released an EP in September, and they have two upcoming shows in the Triangle.

N.E.D.'s mission is to raise awareness - and make a noise - for Gyn (female reproductive) Cancers. Some cancers have a ribbon - Gyn Cancers have a Rock Band!

N.E.D. recorded an EP of original music that was release last September on Motema Records, and have been conducting fundraising concerts across the country. They are coming to the Triangle on Feb. 27 to play a show at Cat's Cradle in Carborro and Feb. 28 to play at Lincoln Theater in Raleigh. Proceeds benefit the Gynecologic Cancer Foundation and the N.E.D. Fund of Marji's Foundation.

Additionally, a portion of the concert proceeds will support local activities. The Cat's Cradle concert will be directed to patient support in the Gyn Oncology Unit at UNC. The Lincoln Theater Concert will be directed to patient support at the Rex Cancer Center.  A "Donor's Dinner" will be scheduled in Chapel Hill prior to the Cat's Cradle concert.

Tickets are available for the Cat's Cradle show here and the Lincolin Theatre show here. Click here to follow the band on Facebook.
