UNC Immunology Core Facility Services and Funding Opportunities

The UNC Immunology Core Facility began in 2003 in order to meet the needs of UNC investigators. We specialize in anything related to the development, production and purification of either monoclonal or polyclonal antibodies, and funding opportunities are available for researchers.

Some of the services we offer:

  • Individualized consultation to discuss monoclonal and polyclonal projects
  • Analysis of protein sequences to determine candidate sites for immunization
  • Development of monoclonal antibodies (ie. hybridoma cell lines)
  • Facilitator/administration of polyclonal antibody projects
  • Production of antibodies (in-vitro ascites)
  • Purification of antibodies from media or sera
  • Characterization of antibodies
  • Purified antibody to the HA and c-myc tags commonly used in molecular biology
