The NC Translational and Clinical Sciences (NC TraCS) Institute here at UNC is part of a national consortium of 46 medical research institutions, funded through the Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA) - led by the National Center for Research Resources (NCRR), part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The CTSA program shares a vision to reduce the time it takes for laboratory discoveries to become treatments for patients, to engage communities in clinical research efforts, and to train a new generation of clinical and translational researchers.
