Upcoming talks by Biomedical Research Imaging Center director candidates

The Biomedical Research Imaging Center (BRIC) Director search committee is pleased to announce two upcoming talks by BRIC director candidates.

Dr. Weili Lin will be giving a talk on Friday, April 9 from 1 - 2 p.m. in the Old Clinic Auditorium. His topic will be: “Resting BOLD: A Window into Early Functional Brain Development.” Dr. Lin is currently Professor and Vice Chair for Basic Research in the Department of Radiology, Associate Director of the BRIC, and holds joint appointments in the Departments of Neurology and Biomedical Engineering and the School of Pharmacy here at UNC-Chapel Hill.

Dr. John Valliant will be giving a talk on Monday, April 12 from noon - 1 p.m. in room G100 Bondurant Hall. His topic will be: “New Strategies for the Discovery and Development of Molecular Imaging Probes.” Dr. Valliant is currently Associate Professor in the Departments of Chemistry and Medical Physics & Applied Radiation Sciences at McMaster University. He is also a member of the Brockhouse Institute for Materials Research.
