UNC radiation therapy faculty and student win national writing award
Robert Adams, EdD, RT, CMD; Bahjat Qaqish, MD, PhD; and Jessica A. Church, BS, RT, all from UNC, are the winners of the 2010-2011 Jean I. Widger Distinguished Author Award from the American Society of Radiologic Technologists.
"Rock the Joint" benefit held to support the Thurston Arthritis Research Center
The Coral Bay Club in Atlantic Beach was the site of the first Rock the Joint event to benefit the Thurston Arthritis Research Center. Rock the Joint was the largest gathering in support of Thurston’s arthritis and autoimmune research in its 27 year history and drew people from all over the state. Over 300 people enjoyed an evening of fine food, dancing and mingling with old and new friends.

The University will soon be required to dial “7” instead of “9” to make an outside call from landlines. In an effort to make this transition a smooth one, ITS Communication Technologies is reminding customers that services that are currently programmed to dial to an outside number could be affected.

This means the drug will be dropped from the urine toxicology Screen (UTOX2, test number 1204).
