REACH Program Wins Prestigious McIver Award

REACH stands for Reaching out to Enhance the Health of Residents of Area Care Homes. The purpose of the Department of Family Medicine program is to create vital medical communities of care for vulnerable patients by visiting patients in their homes.

Residential Services, Inc (RSI) is a local organization that provides living options and related support to people of all ages with developmental disabilities.

The McIver Award recognizes and honors outstanding community service providers.  It was created in honor of Dr. F. Thomas McIver, a pediatric dentist at UNC who made tremendous contributions in providing services to the developmentally disabled community.
