Protein function is inherently derived from the structure of the protein, which in turn is determined by the protein sequence.  The R. L. Juliano Structural Bioinformatics Core, a component of the Center for Structural Biology, is a unique resource providing researchers access to a variety of computational tools running the span from sequence through structural analyses, including analyses of the dynamic motion undergone by proteins in solution.  The core facility is designed to meet the variety of needs within the research community by providing the computers, software packages, and training that can help individual researchers incorporate structural biology into their research efforts.
