Silent auction to help end family violence

You are invited to join our honorary co-hosts Gary and Cindy Park at the 6th annual Silent (No More!) Auction fundraising event of UNC Hospitals' Beacon Child and Family Program on Thursday, Feb. 3, from 5:30 – 8 p.m. at the Siena Hotel. The event is hosted by Molly Maid of Chapel Hill and the Ms. Molly Foundation.

This event is a silent auction offering items such as airline tickets, jewelry, sports memorabilia, gift cards to local restaurants and hotels, and beach or mountain getaways.  For your $45 ticket, you receive a glass of wine and hors d’oeuvres while you bid on items. The funds will directly help our patients, families and employees that seek emergency assistance from the Beacon Program.

Call 697-9183 for tickets or go online to www.silentnomoreauction.wordpress.com, or look for the posters throughout the hospital.

If you can’t attend the fundraiser, buy a raffle ticket. The grand prize is two roundtrip tickets on Southwest Airlines for travel within the continental U.S. Please call 966-9314 to request a raffle ticket at the price of one for $10 or 3 for $25. You do not have to be present to win.

The Beacon Program is UNC Health Care’s family violence intervention program.  The goal of the program is to provide comprehensive, coordinated care to UNC Health Care patients, families, and employees experiencing a variety of family violence.  It includes services for children, victims of domestic abuse, and the elderly.
