Call for Nominations: 2012 Oliver Max Gardner Award

Now is the time to nominate a fellow faculty member for the 2012 O. Max Gardner Award. This UNC system-wide award recognizes "that member of the faculty of the Consolidated University of North Carolina, who, during the current scholastic year, has made the greatest contribution to the welfare of the human race.” Nominations are due by Dec. 2, 2011.

The faculty Committee on Honorary Degrees and Special Awards will screen nominations from the UNC-Chapel Hill faculty, and Chancellor Thorp will transmit their recommendation to the Office of the President and the Board of Governors Committee on the Oliver Max Gardner Award.
