You are invited to attend the Annual Research Symposium for the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, to be held on Sept. 30. This event highlights the varied research conducted by graduate students, residents, postdoctoral and clinical fellows, and faculty of the department. It serves to introduce the department’s research activities to new trainees, and to promote scientific interactions and collaborations among researchers across the department and university.
The symposium will include both oral and poster presentations by researchers in the department, and feature presentations by two faculty. Dr. Alisa Wolberg, Assistant Professor, will present ‘Differential Contributions of Monocyte- and Platelet-derived Microparticles towards Thrombin Generation and Fibrin Formation and Stability,’ and Dr. Jonathon Homeister, Assistant Professor, will present ‘Fucosylated Glycans in Inflammation, Immunity, and Thrombosis.’
The symposium will take place from 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sept. 30, 2011 in Bondurant G100 and the associated lobby.
