Dr. Demore is an Associate Professor of Surgery, Division of Surgical Oncology, at UNC-Chapel Hill. She received her training in General Surgery at Boston University from 1991-1999, during which she did a three-year surgical research fellowship under the mentorship of Dr. Judah Folkman at Harvard Medical School, which focused on discovering novel angiogenesis inhibitors for cancer (1993-1996).

She then trained at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center for a fellowship in Surgical Oncology from 1999-2001. Dr. DeMore’s research program continues to focus on discovery and development of novel angiogenesis inhibitors for cancer and angiogenesis-related diseases.
