Oral presentations by junior investigators showcasing the best science being conducted within the Department of Psychiatry will be held from 1 – 2:30 p.m. in 321 MacNider. Presenters will be:
- Flavio Frohlich, PhD “Rapid State Switching by Sensory Input in Awake Cortex;”
- Crystal E. Schiller, PhD “Estrogen Withdrawal and Depressive Symptoms in Women and Female Rodents;”
- Lisa M. Tarantino, PhD “Genetic Analysis of Cocaine-Induced Locomotor Behavior: The Diversity of Inbred Mouse Strains.”
From 3 – 5 p.m., a poster session will be held in the lobby of the Neurosciences Hospital with a reception in the 1st floor Neurosciences Hospital Conference Room B. All are invited to stop by and see what the Department of Psychiatry is doing to generate new knowledge about the causes and effective treatment of psychiatric illness.
