UNC Health Care Employee Giving Campaign

Please read the following letter from Dean Roper about how to participate in the UNC Health Care Employee Giving Campaign that is taking place this month.

Dear Colleagues,

As you may already know, this is the last week of the 2012 UNC Health Care Employee Giving Campaign. Many of you have asked questions about whether School of Medicine employees can participate in this effort. The answer is yes...and I will explain why and how below.

The Employee Campaign gives us the opportunity to support the needs of our hospital and medical school. Both UNC Health Care and School of Medicine employees are welcome to support the campaign, and every contribution makes a difference in the lives of medical students and the patients and families we serve.

Through the campaign website (http://news.unchealthcare.org/empnews/campaign), you can quickly and easily give to any area of medicine via payroll deduction or credit card. If you are interested in supporting medical education, we encourage you to make a gift to the Loyalty Fund which supports our students through scholarships and programs.  If you would rather support the hospital you may designate a specific   patient care  fund   or the UNC Health Care Annual Fund - a new fund that allows hospital leadership to utilize your gift where the need is greatest.

We know more than anyone what a strong impact our charitable gifts can have on the health of North Carolinians. If you haven’t already done so, please consider making a contribution before the campaign ends on Monday, April 30th.

Thank you for your daily work and dedication to the missions of our medical school and hospitals.
