Imaging Research Building construction crane scheduled to come down

The large construction crane serving the Imaging Research Building is being taken down Aug. 24-26.

The crane has been a fixture on the campus skyline south of Manning Drive for more than a year, but it is no longer needed for lifting heavy equipment and materials into place. Road closings will not be necessary; all will remain open throughout the weekend. The Imaging Research Building is now essentially enclosed, and major building systems equipment components have been set in place. Interior buildout and finish work will continue through fall 2014 to complete the seven-story structure.
