Academy of Educators Faculty Curriculum Development

Health IT Fair
Come meet industry professionals working in Health IT March 16 from 1-3 p.m. Learn about research and development projects, along with practicum opportunities. Companies include Allscripts, EPIC, and Quintiles. Afterwards, a brief presentation will be given from industry leaders from 3-4:30 p.m.
UNC selected to participate in new trial for patients with uncontrolled hypertension - Symplicity HTN-3
This is a randomized, controlled trial to evaluate the efficacy and safety of percutaneous renal denervation in patients with uncontrolled hypertension. Drs. Rick Stouffer and Alan Hinderliter are the Co-PIs at the UNC site, with collaborating investigators from the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension and the Department of Family Medicine.

Elizabeth Loboa, PhD, will present, "Functional tissue engineering using human adipose derived stem cells and biomimetic stimuli."
