UNC Center for Functional GI & Motility Disorders Annual Research Day

The Center for Functional GI & Motility Disorders will host its annual Research Day on Jan. 28, beginning at 8 a.m., at the Siena Hotel in Chapel Hill.

Research Day is a program that highlights the variety research done at the UNC Center for Functional GI & Motility Disorders.

This year the even focuses on four areas of research:

  • Physiological Mechanisms for IBS
  • Pelvic Floor Disorders
  • Treatment Studies
  • Cross-cultural Studies

We are please to include presentations by visiting senior scientists including Khalil Bitar, PhD from the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine; Ami Sperber, MD from Ben Gurion University of the Negev in Israel; Satish Rao, MD from the Medical College of Georgia; and Rona Levy, PhD from the University of Washington.

This event is free but registration is required.  Your registration will include breakfast, lunch, refreshment breaks and printed material.  Registrants are also invited to a complimentary reception with dinner the evening prior to the event on Friday, Jan. 27 beginning at 7 p.m. at the Siena Hotel in Chapel Hill.  Please visit our website to register.
