The Institute for Global Health & Infectious Diseases is co-hosting a delegation from the White House Office of National AIDS Policy, including ONAP director Grant Colfax. Part of their visit will involve a U.S. National HIV/AIDS Implementation Meeting in Chapel Hill on February 21, 2013.

The meeting is part of a series of regional meetings on the implementation of the National HIV/AIDS Strategy (NHAS). The purpose of these meetings is to better understand local and state level efforts as it relates to the implementation of the NHAS, including the Affordable Care Act (ACA). The goal is to engage key stakeholders about ongoing challenges and successes of NHAS/ACA implementation.

In addition to brief presentations from ONAP representatives, the meeting will include panelists Jacquelyn Clymore, AIDS/STD director with the NC Division of Public Health, and Victoria Mobley, medical epidemiologist with the Communicable Disease Branch at the NC Division of Public Health. Evelyn Foust, Director of the Communicable Disease Branch, will moderate the panel.

The meeting is free and open to the public. However, pre-registration is requested. Upon submitting your RSVP, you will receive a detailed confirmation letter via email.
