Pediatric Residents "Harlem Shake" for Neurofibromatosis (NF)

UNC Pediatric Residents rotating at Moses Cone Hospital made their own "Harlem Shake" video -- the latest viral video craze.

The residents and pediatric attendings made the video to support the annual Neurofibromatosis (NF) walk to raise money for research to fight this rare disease. Two young "patients" jumped and dance on the bed, and the doctors danced crazily around the hospital room wearing masks, boas, cowboy hats, and a large black penguin suit. The group and their efforts even got a mention in the local paper“The best part was watching the kids get excited and laugh about how silly the grown-ups looked in costumes,” said Dr. Nicole Chandler, clinical assistant professor of pediatrics.

The UNC Pediatric residents participating in the video are:

Becky Simpkin,  PL-2

Ramon Kinloch, PL-2

Matthew Baldwin, PL-1

Kate Ettefagh, PL-2

Amanda Rose, PL-2
