UNC-1 Wireless SSID To Be Discontinued on October 18

To avoid losing wireless connectivity, users should install the UNC-Secure configuration as soon as possible.

On October 18, 2013, ITS plans to permanently remove the wireless access channel known as UNC-1 from the campus network. It is being replaced by a more robust and more secure access channel labeled as UNC-Secure. To avoid losing wireless connectivity, users should install the UNC-Secure configuration as soon as possible. For most devices, that can be accomplished by going to the following link: http://uncsecure.net.unc.edu and following the directions.
