CHIP Lecture: Clinical Intelligence with Epic
Clinical Intelligence is a rapidly growing and evolving field that uses data to improve healthcare outcomes. In this presentation, Mr. Yosick, from Epic, will share specific examples in which analytical and quantitative methods were used to accomplish objectives as diverse as predictive modeling for patient mortality, measuring differences in the quality of healthcare across regions, and assessing the effectiveness of process improvements in clinical workflows. He will also discuss the future of healthcare analytics and how healthcare providers are leveraging the fields of big data, predictive modeling, and expert systems to improve healthcare.

Kidney Kare 5K Run/Walk – March 16
The Eighth Annual Kidney Kare 5K and Kids Kare Run/Walk will take place on Saturday, March 16 at 8:30 a.m. at McDougle Middle School in Carrboro. Walkers and runners of all ages are invited to participate, including kids who can compete in the 1/2 mile Kids Kare Run.
