NC TraCS Events and Announcements

An update on the TraCS $5-50K Pilot Program, and upcoming events, including Comparative Effectiveness Research Methods Series, "Trans-disciplinary Approach to Reducing Cervical Cancer in Appalachia," Orientation for New Clinical Research Personnel, "What's Bad About Good Cholesterol?," and a Core Facilities Information Session and Social.



  • The TraCS $5-50K Pilot Program is now accepting applications with a deadline of June 4, 2013.
    NC TraCS is especially interested in, and will extend priority to, proposals with a focus on one of three areas: (1) Transformative Technologies, (2) Drugs, Device and Diagnostics Development, and (3) Comparative Effectiveness Research.   • UNC Nanoformulation Core Facility - Survey deadline is May 24, 2013.
    The Nanoformulation Core Facility, within the Center for Nanotechnology in Drug Delivery at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy, is conducting a survey to learn about the work and service needs of those in the UNC-Chapel Hill community who are working with therapeutic modules, drug delivery systems and nanotechnology. Learn more about the Core Facility and take the survey.
  • AHRQ's Effective Health Care Program is accepting abstract submissions for a journal supplement on research methods for evaluating patient health outcomes in rare diseases. Deadline is May 31, 2013.
    The proposed supplement will focus on innovative patient-centered health outcomes research methodology and its application to rare diseases or drugs/devices used to treat such patients.
