Clinical Ethics Grand Rounds

Grand Rounds for Clinical Ethics will be given by Alan R. Fleischman, MD, Professor of Pediatrics and Epidemiology and Population Health at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. The lecture is titled "An Ethical Framework for Healthcare Decisions for Critically Ill Children."

All are welcome to attend this session with Dr. Fleischman, a distinguished scholar in pediatrics and bioethics whose extensive work emphasizes the rights of individuals and the responsibilities of healthcare professionals and organizations. His interests extend to public policy, urban health, and public health through his leadership role with the NY Academy of Medicine. Among many notable appointments, he is a Hastings Fellow and recent past Director of the March of Dimes.

Jointly sponsored by the UNC Center for Bioethics and the UNC Hospital Ethics Committee, Clinical Ethics Grand Rounds offers an innovative and interactive forum for engaging with ethical, legal, and policy issues of particular salience to patient care within the hospital. This series may fulfill requirements towards continuing ethics education in nursing*, social work, and other departments and divisions.  There are no commercial support or conflicts of interest to report. Education credits require attendance and completion of the evaluation.
