Zakrajsek shines at TEDxUNC

Todd Zakrajsek, PhD, an associate professor in the department of family medicine and the executive director of the School of Medicine's Academy of Educators, was a featured speaker at TEDxUNC held at Memorial Hall on Saturday, Feb.7.

At TEDxUNC, innovative thinkers, from both UNC and the greater community, discussed their approaches to some of humanity’s fundamental concerns.

Zakrajsek's talk was themed "Thinking about Thinking."

Here's how he sums it up:

"The human brain is a truly amazing thing.  Our ability to think deep and life changing thoughts is not only what makes us human, it is what allows us to do so much.  All that said, one thing our amazing brains tend not to think about very often is about our own thinking.  Ironic, but when was the last time you thought about how you think? The TEDx talk scratched the surface about our own thinking and pointed out a few instances in which we could improve our thinking by taking the time and thinking about our thinking."
