The NC TraCS Institute announces a 1-week course, “Introduction to Study Design and Strategies for Data Analysis.” This course is intended as an introduction to statistical terms, methodologies and analysis strategies most commonly used in clinical/translational research.

The course will be held July 20-24, 2014 from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. each day in room 1131 of the Bioinformatics Building.

Course content:

1. Basic study designs used in clinical/translational research

2. Overview of statistical methodology- definitions and examples

3. Introduction to analysis strategies- which statistical methods are appropriate for various types of data?

Once registered, participants will receive additional information on recommended, but optional, course textbooks.
