Reid Wilson, PhD has been named a Founding Clinical Fellow of the Anxiety and Depression Association of America. He has also been granted Fellow status by the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies in its inaugural year offering the fellow designation. Wilson serves as adjunct associate professor, Psychiatry, UNC School of Medicine and director, Anxiety Disorders Treatment Center in Durham and Chapel Hill.
The Dean's Advisory Council meeting scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 8, has been cancelled. Notification of the next meeting will be sent before the end of the year.
An ad hoc committee has been appointed to undertake a routine review of the leadership provided by Charles Jennette, MD, Chair of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. The five-year review is a standard procedure of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The committee invites your written or verbal comments, suggestions and relevant information. The review will take place on January 12, 2016.
The UNC Center for AIDS Research and the UNC Institute for Global Health and Infectious Disease will present a day of speakers at the 17th Annual World AIDS Day Symposium. The keynote address will be delivered by Deborah Persaud, MD, associate professor, pediatrics, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
