Office of International Activities accepting applications for Global Health Scholars and Global Health Concentration programs

The UNC Office of International Activities, in conjunction with UNC Office of Graduate Medical Education, Institute for Global Health and Infectious Diseases, and UNC School of Medicine, is pleased to offer two global health programs targeted to residents: UNC Global Health Scholars Program and a Concentration in Global Health. These offerings are available to all UNC resident physicians in ACGME residency programs.

Residents who complete all requirements of either the Global Health Scholars Program or a Concentration in Global Health will receive an OIA/Office of GME certificate upon graduation from residency. Read more.

How to apply

The application deadline is March 1 and applicants will be notified by April 1.

Applicants should fill out the joint application form on the OIA website and indicate whether they are applying to enroll only in the Concentration in Global Health or additionally for consideration of acceptance as a UNC OIA Global Health Scholar.

Residents interested in applying to either the Global Health Scholars Program or Concentration in Global Health must have the support of their residency director and an identified UNC faculty mentor.
