Rita Allen Foundation and the American Pain Society: 2017 Award in Pain

The Rita Allen Foundation, in partnership with the American Pain Society, is accepting applications to support research projects directed towards the molecular biology of pain and/or basic science topics related to the development of new analgesics for the management of pain due to terminal illness. Award amount is up to $50,000 per year for up to three years. The application deadline is Jan. 16, 2017.

The Rita Allen Foundation, in partnership with the American Pain Society, is accepting applications to support research projects directed towards the molecular biology of pain and/or basic science topics related to the development of new analgesics for the management of pain due to terminal illness. Eligible applicants must have received committed start-up funds and independent lab space from their institution, should be in the first three years of their appointment, should be appointed to tenure track or equivalent position. Furthermore, eligible applicants may not have a funded R01 award while the RAF application is under review. Institutional overhead is not allowed.
