Paralyzed Veterans of America Foundation: Grants Program

The Paralyzed Veterans of America Foundation is accepting applications for innovative educational projects that enhance the quality of life of individuals with spinal cord injury and/or increase the knowledge and effectiveness of health professionals in the spinal cord injury community. Award amount is up to $50,000. Application deadline is Feb. 1, 2016.

The PVA Foundation funds innovative educational projects that enhance the quality of life of individuals with spinal cord injury or disease (SCI/D) and/or increase the knowledge and effectiveness of health professionals in the SCI/D community. The Foundation supports five types of projects:

  • Consumer, Caregiver and Community Education
  • Professional Development and Education
  • Research Utilization and Dissemination
  • Assistive Technologies
  • Conferences and Symposia

Eligible applicants include members of academic institutions, not-for-profit agencies and organizations, and consumer advocates and/or organizations. Grantees must be located in the US or Canada, but project directors and staff are not required to be US or Canadian citizens. 2014 Education Foundation grant recipients can be found here.
