March 30: National Doctors' Day
Thank You!
National Doctors' Day was March 30. Read a note from Dr. Roper to all of UNC Health Care's talented physicians.
Promoting Wellness on Doctors' Day
As UNC Health Care and the UNC School of Medicine continue to promote physician wellness, a seminar on Mindfulness (with lunch provided) is being offered at noon in the Old Clinic Auditorium. Chair massages are also being offered throughout the day in the lobby of the Neurosciences Hospital. Samantha Meltzer-Brody, MD, MPH, says these events should be considered a kick off for other forthcoming efforts to promote wellness.
U.S. News places UNC among nation’s best medical schools
Several UNC School of Medicine specialties ranked near the top in the magazine’s annual rankings.
386 physicians from UNC Health Care named to prestigious 2015-2016 Best Doctors In America® list
Only five percent of doctors in America earn this prestigious honor, decided by impartial peer review.
Celebrating Carolina Care Excellence
Each year, UNC Health Care administers the CMS-approved Clinician and Group Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CG-CAHPS) survey to solicit feedback from patients. One question on that survey asks patients if they would recommend their provider's office to friends and family. One hundred and thirty three of our providers had more than 94 percent of their patients respond “Yes, definitely!” to that question, which places them in the top quartile nationally.
