Seth Glickman, MD

UNC Health Alliance is a clinically integrated network that was created as a means to engage physicians in the transformation of care for the patients served by UNC Health Care as market reform moves from volume-based to value-based reimbursement. The network includes both independent community physicians and physicians employed by UNC Health Care and its owned and managed hospitals, working together to build a high-value integrated system of care.

Glickman has been elevated into his new roles following a successful tenure as Interim President and Interim Executive Medical Director.

In his role, he will work to guide the organization in pursuit of its four primary goals:

  • Creating a physician-led organization that is accountable for the full continuum of care
  • Leading the market in high quality, cost-efficient care through population health management and engaging patients in the ownership of their care
  • Creating a culture of collaboration between UNC Health Care and community physicians while creating value for patients and our communities
  • Addressing the needs of payers and employers to stabilize premiums and decrease costs while improving quality and efficiency

Glickman completed his medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in 2000. He then completed his residency at University of Chicago and completed his fellowship and MBA at Duke University. Dr. Glickman has been in practice for 15 years and is board-certified in Emergency Medicine.
