Children's Tumor Foundation: Clinical Research Awards

The Children's Tumor Foundation is accepting pre-applications to support early stage pilot clinical trials of candidate therapeutics for the treatment of tumors and other manifestations of NF1, NF2 and schwannomatosis or innovative clinical studies, e.g. being conducted adjunct to clinical trials that could contribute to the advancement of effective clinical therapies for NF. Award amount is up to $150,000 for 18-24 months. Pre-application deadline is June 20.

The Children's Tumor Foundation is accepting pre-applications to support early stage pilot clinical trials of candidate therapeutics for the treatment of tumors and other manifestations of NF1, NF2 and schwannomatosis or innovative clinical studies, e.g. being conducted adjunct to clinical trials that could contribute to the advancement of effective clinical therapies for NF. Examples of projects encouraged may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Preclinical/clinical collaborative studies. Note that all studies must include a clinical element – preclinical-only studies are not eligible.
  • Pilot clinical trials (CTF leverages our relationship with industry or larger funding organizations to provide drugs at no cost to successful applicants.)
  • Clinical enabling studies such as biomarker and patient stratification that may better inform and help accelerate a clinical trial

Indirect costs may not exceed 10 perncent of the total award.
