Nursing Ground Rounds will start again January 2017

First Nursing Grand Rounds of the new year, "Active Shooter Response," will take place on Jan. 13, from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. Lt. Bilal Green will discuss how hospital staff, especially nurses, can be prepared for the possibility of an active shooter in the hospital setting.

Nursing Grand Rounds (NGR) provide staff nurses and other health team members a forum to share clinical expertise and the best of nursing practice. Nursing Practice and Professional Development will be restarting Nursing Grand Rounds early in the new year.

The first NGR of the new year, "Active Shooter Response," will take place on January 13, 2017, Lt. Bilal Green will discuss how hospital staff, especially nurses, can be prepared for the possibility of an active shooter in the hospital setting.  

Nursing Grand Rounds take place 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the second Friday of each month (not in July, August, November, or December) in the OR Classroom (second floor hallway). All nursing staff interested in developing a presentation for NGR are invited to contact Diane Yorke, Continuing Education Coordinator for Nursing at UNC Health Care at .
