Simons Foundation Autism Research Initiative: 2017 Pilot Awards

The Simons Foundation Autism Research Initiative (SFARI) is accepting letters of intent for innovative, high-impact proposals requesting support for small-scale projects or early-stage experiments that will build on preliminary data or a prior track record and lead to competitive applications for funding by SFARI or other organizations. Award amount is up to $150,000 per year for up to two years. The letter of intent deadline is Dec. 9.

The Simons Foundation Autism Research Initiative (SFARI) is accepting Letters of Intent (LOIs) for innovative, high-impact proposals requesting support for small-scale projects or early-stage experiments that will build on preliminary data or a prior track record and lead to competitive applications for funding by SFARI or other organizations. Investigators new to the field of autism are encouraged to apply for Pilot Awards. Indirect costs are included in the award amount. Eligible applicants must hold a PhD, MD or equivalent degree and have a faculty position or the equivalent at a college, university, medical school or other research facility. There are no citizenship or country requirements.

LOI Deadline: December 9, 2016. Invited full proposals will be due March 22, 2017 with award notification by mid-June 2017 and award start dates of either: Aug. 1, Sept. 1, Oct. 1, 2017.
