The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration: AFTD Postdoctoral Research Fellowship

The Association of Frontotemporal Degeneration (FTD) is accepting letters of intent to support basic, translational, clinical and epidemiological research by an outstanding scientist at an early stage of his or her career. Fellowship projects can address disorders across the FTD spectrum, including behavioral variant FTD, primary progressive aphasia, progressive supranuclear palsy, corticobasal degeneration, and FTD with motor neuron disease. Award amount is up to $55,000 per year for up to two years. The LOI submission deadline is Nov. 14.

The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration is accepting letters of intent to support basic, translational, clinical and epidemiological FTD research by an outstanding scientist at an early stage of their career. Fellowship projects can address disorders across the FTD spectrum, including behavioral variant FTD, primary progressive aphasia, progressive supranuclear palsy, corticobasal degeneration, and FTD with motor neuron disease.

Applicants must have a PhD, MD, or MD-PhD degree and be engaged in research at an academic institution, teaching hospital, or nonprofit research institute. Applicants must be entering the first, second, or third year of the postdoctoral appointment at the start of the fellowship term. Researchers holding temporary or permanent staff scientist positions are not eligible. Both US and international postdoctoral researchers are eligible. A letter of sponsorship from the sponsoring principal investigator, including a description of the training plan, is required. Indirect costs are not allowed.
