The PhRMA Foundation is accepting applications to support physician-scientists pursuing a career in clinical pharmacology and to encourage the development of junior research-oriented faculty who will use molecular, cell, and systems pharmacology to advance human research. Applicants sponsored by medical schools should have at least two years of training at the residency level and two years of clinical experience in a research training program related to clinical pharmacology. Facilities for research and training must be available to the applicant, and the program with which he or she is associated must have a demonstrated commitment to clinical pharmacology training, thus providing an environment where the applicant’s research potential can be developed to the fullest extent. Awards are made to the medical schools annually for two years to support full-time junior faculty in clinical pharmacology. Awards may be activated beginning Jan. 1, 2017 or the first day of any month thereafter, up to and including Dec. 1, 2017. A maximum of eight percent of the award may be used for indirect institutional costs. The award will be made to the institution on behalf of the fellow. Funds are non-transferable. Any unused funds must be returned to the foundation.

Application Deadline: Feb.1, 2017. Application Guidelines for the award: http://www.phrmafoundation.org/2017-awards/other-awards/clinical-pharmacology/faculty-development-award/
