Research subjects needed for antibody infusion & bacterial disease research study

Healthy, non‐HIV, male volunteers between the ages of 18 and 35 are needed. Participants will be compensated.

  • Healthy, non‐HIV, male volunteers between the ages of 18 and 35.
  • Subjects will be randomized to receive human antibody infusion or control followed by a controlled bacterial infection.
  • Subjects required to return to Outpatient Clinical Research Unit at UNC Hospitals for a maximum of 12 visits.
  • Monetary compensation of up to $1500 will be provided at completion of research study.

This study titled "IGHID 11705: A Randomized, Open-label, Controlled Clinical Trial to Assess the Efficacy of F598 in Preventing an Experimental Urethral Infection with Neisseria gonorrhoeae in Healthy Male Subjects" was approved by the UNC Biomedical IRB on 7/3/2017 with IRB# 17-0566.
