Thomas Bodenheimer MD, MPH, will be speaking at this year's Annual Huntley Lecture. He is Professor Emeritus of Family and Community medicine at UCSF and Founding Director of the Center for Excellence in Primary Care. He co-authored the seminal article, "From Triple to Quadruple Aim: Care of the Patient Requires Care of the Provider." This article influenced UNC School of Medicine's adoption of the Quadruple Aim, a series of initiatives and programs to reduce provider burn out.
His lecture, "Building Primary Care Teams to Meet Healthcare's Challenges" will explore why primary care teams are essential for high value and exceptional care in today's healthcare environment.
