The CHEST Foundation: 2017 CHEST Foundation Research Grant in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

The CHEST Foundation, the charitable arm for the American College of Chest Physicians, with support from AstraZeneca LP, is accepting applications to support investigators interested addressing clinical, population or community engagement/health services aspects of COPD with relevance to the prevention and/or reduction in morbidity and mortality associated with COPD. Award amount is up to $50,000 for one year. The application deadline is March 31, 2017.

The CHEST Foundation, the charitable arm for the American College of Chest Physicians, with support from AstraZeneca LP, is accepting applications to support investigators interested addressing clinical, population or community engagement/health services aspects of COPD with relevance to the prevention and/or reduction in morbidity and mortality associated with COPD. Higher-level translational research projects (T1-T5; for definitions please see https://ctsi.mcw.edu/images/CTSI-Translational-Continuum.pdf; basic (cellular or animal) research projects will not be considered. Indirect costs are not allowed and PI salaries will not be supported. Eligible applicants must have CHEST membership at the time of application and be licensed physicians. Physicians-in-training (residents or fellows), other health-care professionals, or clinical researchers with relevant experience will also be accepted. Although applicants may be at later career stages, special consideration will be given to young investigators and applicants in early stages of their careers.
