At the end of the seminar, participants will be able to:
1. Describe the incidence and risk factors associated with burnout during residency in the United States, including how changes in duty hours may affect rates of burnout.
2. Discuss the results of the Taking Care of our Own UNC resident survey with regards to the incidence of and risk factors for resident burnout.
3. Relate successful approaches within Graduate Medical Education Programs to programs at UNC, which prevent burnout and encourage resiliency.
