This week, editors-in-chief of journals in the JAMA network published an editorial, "Death By Gun Violence: A Public Health Crisis." Melina Kibbe, MD, Chair of the Department of Surgery and Editor-in-Chief of JAMA Surgery, is one of the co-authors.

The editorial discusses gun violence in the context of a public health epidemic. It has generated considerable interest, including several national media stories and more than 50,000 online views.
