Gold Humanism Honor Society celebrates Resident Appreciation Week

During the week of March 26-30, the UNC chapter of the Gold Humanism Honor Society celebrated its annual Resident Appreciation Week. Events included a Maple View ice cream social attended by more than 200 residents, a photobooth and nutrition workshop, puppy therapy, a week of free yoga from Franklin Street Yoga Studio, and discounts at local restaurants throughout the week.

In addition to a week of local restaurant discounts and free yoga from Franklin Street Yoga Studio, the UNC Gold Humanism Honor Society hosted a Maple View ice cream social on March 28 at the UNC Hospital Starbucks patio that included a photobooth, nutrition workshop, and puppy therapy from Tar Heal Paws. The event was a huge success, attended by over 200 residents. UNC medical students wrote thank-you cards to those residents who made a particularly strong personal and/or professional impact. These thank-you cards were distributed to the residents through the Office of Graduate Medical Education. We thank the UNC School of Medicine Alumni for their generous support.
