Healthy Eating In Practice 2018 Conference

Healthy Eating in Practice is a hands-on CME conference for practitioners, researchers, and influencers, focused on changing the culture of healthcare to better support healthy eating behaviors, particularly in children and families, and prevent chronic diet-related diseases. Grounded in experiential learning, this national conference will equip attendees to address the root causes of these chronic diseases. Through participatory workshops (including hands-on cooking instruction), farm field trips, peer learning, and panels and presentations from leading practitioners, researchers, and policy experts, attendees will gain practical skills and approaches that work in day-to-day life. Several UNC School of Medicine faculty will be presenting, as well as several members of the NC Food and Healthcare Intersections group.
