MS2 Neurologic Block Co-director Position Available

The Foundation Phase of the School of Medicine's curriculum seeks a basic-science co-director of the Neurologic Block for second-year medical students for fall 2019.

The Foundation Phase of the School of Medicine's curriculum seeks a basic-science co-director of the Neurologic Block for second-year medical students for fall 2019. The block runs from approximately August 15 to October 1 and consists of basic neuroscience (e.g., physiology, anatomy, genetics, and histology) as well as clinical neurology, pathology, pharmacology, epidemiology, imaging, and microbiology. The co-director may be a faculty member from a basic science department or a faculty member in a clinical department with a strong interest in basic science. The basic science co-director will work with the current clinical co-director and will receive approximately 20% salary support up to the NIH salary cap. Duties will include curriculum design, content delivery, small-group management, assessment, and attendance at monthly Foundation Phase meetings. Self-nominations as well as nominations by chairs or colleagues are welcome. Top candidates will be interviewed with a final selection being made by December 1.
