North Carolina Academy of Sleep Medicine Annual Conference to Feature Multiple UNC Speakers

The North Carolina Academy of Sleep Medicine is holding its annual conference this Saturday, Oct. 13 at the William and Ida Friday Center for Continuing Education in Chapel Hill.

The North Carolina Academy of Sleep Medicine (NCASM) is holding its annual conference this Saturday, Oct. 13 at the William and Ida Friday Center for Continuing Education in Chapel Hill. Multiple UNC School of Medicine researchers and physicians will be speaking at the event, including Bradley Vaughn, MD, Greg Essick, DDS, PhD, and Laura Beth Mann Dosier, MD.

The NCASM was born from UNC’s Sleep Disorders Center. Mary Ellen Wells, PhD, RPSGT, director of UNC's Neurodiagnostics and Sleep Science Program, was recently named executive director of NCASM. Steven O’Dell, RPSGT, with the UNC Sleep Disorders Center was also recently named vice president for NCASM. Will Underwood, RPSGT, also with the UNC Sleep Disorders Center, is a board member, founder and past president. Bradley Vaughn, MD, with UNC Neurology is a board member and one of the founders.
